The CBDA published yesterday (04) Nota Journal reporting that the President of the entity does not support the formation of the Association of Water Polo.
The contents of note is contrary to information from the meeting organizers for the formation of the Association, now the clubs of Rio de Janeiro that the President was in favor of the entity. Note down the Journal. Official Note
04/03/2011 Rio de Janeiro / RJ - The CBDA clarifies the aquatic sports community that, contrary to what was aired on some media, does not recognize the creation of the Brazilian Association of Water Polo. The organization believes that this initiative is an illegal and pointless.
In conversation with the chairman of the CBDA, Coaracy Nunes Filho, President of Sporting Clube Pinheiros, Mr. Antonio Moreno Neto, said he had no details of the Association and the next meeting scheduled for March 10 at the premises of the club chairs. The president of the Club de Regatas do Flamengo, PatrĂcia Amorim also said it has no knowledge of the Association.
The Confederation also makes clear that it is the only entity recognized by the International Swimming Federation and the Brazilian Olympic Committee to manage the water polo nationwide and that has always been open to dialogue for ideas aimed at promoting the sport.
The CBDA has invested heavily in water polo and has a program to develop long-term aims Olympic Games in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016.
Besides investment with the hiring of coach Croatian Goran Sablic and technology for development of athletes, in 2011 the organization has already mobilized resources to meet the following actions:
January - Pre-World Men - Canada
February - Pre -Women's World Cup - Brazil
March - South American Youth - Peru
May - Men's World League (FINA) - July
- World Water Sports (Male and Female) - China
August - Pan American Junior Men and Women - In place to be determined
August - World Junior Men - Greece August
- World Junior Women - Italy
September - Training for the Pan American Games (Men) - Croatia
September - Training for the Pan American Games (Women) - United States
October - Pan American Games - Mexico
November 2011 to January 2012 - 4th National League
The Annual General Meeting, attended by 27 presidents of the federations affiliated to the last week, set on March 12 for a meeting with the clubs participating in the National League of Water Polo for discussion of ideas to enhance competition. The Confederation said that the back is open to dialogue as long as within the laws prevailing in the country sports.
